On Friday morning, two burglary suspects were apprehended by the police, while two others are still at large following a high-speed pursuit on a freeway that concluded in Silver Lake near Echo Park.

The incident commenced at approximately 9 p.m. on Thursday when deputies from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department responded to an ongoing residential burglary in Mission Viejo.

After allegedly stealing multiple firearms from a residence, the suspects quickly fled the scene in a silver SUV, reaching speeds exceeding 100 mph as they traversed various freeways, including the 710, 60, and 57, before transitioning to the Hollywood 101 Freeway.

The pursuit eventually came to an end at the intersection of Coronado Street and Bellevue Avenue, close to Echo Park, where the suspects abandoned the SUV and attempted to evade capture on foot. California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers initiated a pursuit on foot.

While two of the suspects were successfully apprehended, the remaining two are still on the run. Law enforcement authorities have cautioned that the fugitives may be armed.
