Shooting Incident in Northeast Bakersfield Leaves 28-Year-Old Man Hospitalized

On Tuesday, June 20, a shooting incident occurred in Northeast Bakersfield, resulting in a 28-year-old man being hospitalized with traumatic injuries.

The Kern County Sheriff’s Office received reports of the shooting around 8 p.m. near Fairfax Road and Alfred Harrell Highway.

Deputies promptly responded to the scene and found the injured man, who had been shot. He was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

Currently, the KCSO is actively searching for a specific vehicle that is believed to be involved in the incident.

The vehicle is described as a black Chevy pickup truck from the early 2000s, lifted, and equipped with four doors.
