A 29-year-old man lost his life in a rollover crash on the Wisconsin-Illinois state line over the weekend, as reported by the Green County Sheriff’s Office on Monday.
The incident occurred at approximately 11:10 p.m. at the junction of Best Road and Stateline Road.
In a press release, the sheriff’s office stated that Adam Buckler, a resident of Davis, Illinois, was traveling north on Best Road in a purple 1997 Chrysler Cirrus when he disregarded a stop sign and collided with an embankment. The impact caused the car to go airborne, and upon landing, it rolled several times before catching fire.
UW MedFlight transported Buckler to a hospital for medical care, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries on Sunday.
At the time of the crash, Buckler was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
The sheriff’s office is currently conducting an investigation into the incident, which marks the fifth fatal accident in the county for 2023.
