Los Angeles police say that an 80-year-old man and a 30-year-old man got into a fight at an Amazon Fresh in southwest Los Angeles on Tuesday, and the older man shot and killed the younger man.
The 80-year-old suspect was arrested late Tuesday afternoon, the LAPD said.
The shooting was first reported at 4:05 p.m. on the 6800 block of La Cienega Boulevard.
The victim and the suspect allegedly got into a dispute over a woman in the parking lot. According to authorities, the dispute got worse until the suspect pulled out a handgun and shot the victim once.
The Los Angeles Fire Department declared the victim dead at the scene. Officials haven’t revealed his identity just yet.
The suspect was taken into police custody soon after the event. No other information was released right away.
