Breaking News: Missing Elderly Jamaican Woman Found Dead in Florida River

The remains of Caroline Woolery-Walters, a Jamaican woman who went missing after arriving at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in Florida last Monday, have been discovered. It is reported that the 70-year-old was found in a river.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO) Missing Person’s Unit stated that the elderly woman was “found deceased in a body of water.”

Last Thursday, shortly after 5:30 pm, the Broward County Regional Communications received information about a body spotted in the river near the 1500 block of Southwest Fourth Street in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Subsequently, the body was identified as that of Woolery-Walters. No further details have been provided by law enforcement regarding suspicions of foul play or the circumstances surrounding her death.

According to the BSO Missing Persons Unit, Caroline Woolery-Walters was last seen around 6:00 p.m. near 300 Terminal Drive at Fort Lauderdale. She was traveling from Jamaica to visit relatives in Philadelphia.
