Unstoppable Penn State York Women’s Volleyball Team Crushes Competitors in Playoff Quest!

The Penn State York women’s volleyball team has maintained an undefeated 12-0 record in the Penn State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC) East for three consecutive years and is now heading to the playoffs. They will be playing their first playoff match against Penn State Wilkes-Barre at the Joe and Rosie Ruhl Student Community Center at Penn State York on October 26 at 7 p.m.

The team achieved their perfect conference record by defeating Penn State Brandywine 3-0 on October 19. This game was themed ‘Pink Out’ in support of breast cancer awareness, and it marked personal milestones for team members Jess Dunbar and Jayda Simmons. Dunbar had previously scored her 1,000th career point in a different game, while Simmons achieved her 1,000th dig during the ‘Pink Out‘ game.

During the ‘Pink Out‘ game, the team also raised $197 for the National Breast Cancer Foundation, and you can find photos from the game on Flickr.

For the third consecutive year, York has secured the top seed in the PSUAC East. In the previous season, they were runners-up in both the PSUAC Championship and the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) National Championship in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

The playoff game is open to the public and free to attend. For those unable to attend in person, there will be a livestream available. The team is determined to extend their winning streak in the playoffs.
