Knife-Wielding Suspect Injures Store Clerk in San Antonio Robbery

SAN ANTONIO – According to the San Antonio police, a clerk was injured by a knife during a robbery at a convenience store on the East Side on Tuesday morning.

The incident occurred around 5:30 a.m. in the 1700 block of N. New Braunfels Ave., near Interstate 35.

Reportedly, a man entered the store and appeared to steal inexpensive items, such as candy bars.

When the clerk confronted him and asked him to leave, the man grabbed more items, became agitated, and kicked out a glass door.

The man then pulled out a knife and swung it at the clerk, striking his hand. Fortunately, the injuries sustained by the clerk were not life-threatening, as confirmed by the police.

After the robbery, the suspect fled in the direction of Interstate 35, and authorities were unable to locate him.

The police are currently investigating the incident as a robbery.
