Los Angeles County Authorities Investigate Fatal Shooting at Lancaster Motel

Two men have been identified by authorities after they were fatally shot in a motel in Lancaster during an apparent robbery on Wednesday night.

The deceased individuals have been named as Luther Crayton, 29, from Lancaster, and Shane Derone Wallace, 28, from Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.

Family members informed Fox 11 that the two men were brothers, and one of them resided at the motel where the shooting took place.

The incident occurred at around 9:08 p.m. on June 7 at America’s Best Value Inn & Suites on Sierra Highway in the 44100 block.

Authorities from the Sheriff’s Information Bureau released a statement indicating that they believe multiple suspects were involved in the incident, with the motive appearing to be robbery.

Upon the deputies’ arrival, they discovered one victim inside a motel room, who had sustained a gunshot wound. Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics arrived at the scene but pronounced the victim deceased.

Another victim was found in the motel’s parking lot, also suffering from a gunshot wound. They were transported to a local hospital, where they were later pronounced dead.
