SAN JOSE — A fatal traffic accident occurred on U.S. Highway 101 in San Jose during the early hours of Saturday morning, as reported by the California Highway Patrol.
The incident involved a silver Toyota Sienna and an SUV, which collided at approximately 3:15 a.m. in the northbound lanes of U.S. 101 near the Hellyer Avenue offramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision resulted in the SUV veering off the highway and crossing over the guardrail, according to CHP statements.
By around 3:50 a.m., law enforcement officers had confirmed the presence of at least one fatality at the scene and subsequently requested the presence of the coroner, as per information provided by the California Highway Patrol.
