Trial Date Shifted for Socialite Accused of Killing 2 Boys in Westlake Village

The rich socialite who is accused of killing two young boys while driving drunk almost three years ago had her trial pushed back on Thursday. The victims’ mother was “crushed” that the judge would not set a date for the trial to begin.

As Rebecca Grossman left the courtroom, she covered her face with her hand. The wife of Dr. Peter Grossman, who runs the Grossman Burn Center in West Hills, is accused of killing Jacob Iskander, 8, and Mark Iskander, 11, as they crossed the street with their mother. She is 59 years old.

Prosecutors say Rebecca Grossman was drunk when she hit the two boys with her Mercedes-Benz while it was going 72 mph, killing both of them.

Nancy Iskander went to court on Thursday hoping that a trial date would be set for the man who is accused of killing her children. However, the judge put off the trial because lawyers are fighting over about 3,000 pages of information that were given to prosecutors to look over.

“I’m crushed,” Nancy Iskander said. “But I hope the judge will stop the games at some point and help us get to a trial.”
Nancy Iskander also remembered the crash that killed everyone.
“These two cars were going too fast. “I was able to get away with my little boy from one of them, but Mark and Jacob were hurt by the other one,” she said.

Rebecca Grossman could spend up to the rest of her life in jail if she is found guilty.

Rebecca Grossman’s license had been taken away for more than a year, but she got it back earlier this year.

“That day, they didn’t do anything wrong. They were just using a crosswalk with their mother to cross the street. It might be your children. It could be the kids of anyone. “We have failed if we can’t give them justice,” said Nancy Iskander.
