According to the police, a man was shot in the shoulder on Wednesday night in east Fort Worth when three men tried to steal his vehicle.
Officials received a report of a shooting in the 2100 block of Stratford Park Drive just before midnight.
The victim explained to the police that he was sitting in his car when three unidentified men approached him and announced their intention to steal his vehicle.
One of the suspects brandished a firearm and shot the victim in the left shoulder. Afterward, the suspects fled on foot, as reported by the victim.
The police stated that the victim received treatment at the scene for injuries that were not life-threatening.
The Robbery Unit will conduct an investigation into the incident, but currently, no suspects have been apprehended.
