A quick-thinking MTA worker played a crucial role in apprehending an arsonist who was starting fires in downtown Los Angeles on Thursday morning.
The perpetrator was captured on video at approximately 2 a.m., igniting brush and trees along Alameda Street near Union Station.
Numerous individuals promptly dialed 911 to report the incident, but it was an MTA worker who took immediate action.
The driver swiftly grabbed a fire extinguisher from his bus and extinguished the flames prior to the arrival of the firefighters.
Upon the arrival of law enforcement, the arson suspect was apprehended and taken into custody.
The motive behind the incident remains unclear.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and no structures suffered any damage.
