Discover Davy Crockett’s Legacy: Alamo’s Early Birthday Celebration

SAN ANTONIO – The Alamo is organizing a complimentary birthday celebration in honor of the king of the wild frontier, David Crockett.

The renowned pioneer would have reached the age of 237 next week, but the Alamo has decided to celebrate a bit early on Saturday, August 12, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

During this special event at the famous landmark in San Antonio, there will be games, crafts, and rifle-firing demonstrations.

Davy Crockett, as he is commonly known, has been a great inspiration for history enthusiasts worldwide, encouraging them to explore the fascinating history of the Texas Revolution and the Battle of the Alamo.

The event organizers stated in a press release, “Come and discover more about the famous Congressman from Tennessee, who made his final stand at the Alamo through thrilling living history demonstrations.”

The festivities will be held on the Alamo’s grounds, located at 300 Alamo Plaza in downtown San Antonio.
