LAPD Hunts for Gunman After Fatal Shooting in Vermont Square

LOS ANGELES – A tragic incident unfolded in the Vermont Square area of South Los Angeles on Saturday, resulting in the fatal shooting of a man.

Around 3:15 p.m., the Los Angeles Police Department responded to an urgent call in the vicinity of 51st Street and Denker Avenue.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered a man, estimated to be aged between 25 and 30, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Tragically, paramedics at the scene pronounced him deceased.

Images captured by SkyFOX depicted a makeshift tent erected over the victim’s body near the intersection, along with several evidence markers scattered across the street.

According to information provided by the police to FOX 11, the suspected shooter disembarked from his vehicle, engaged in a verbal exchange with the victim, and subsequently discharged a firearm, resulting in the victim’s tragic demise.

Regrettably, the LAPD did not possess any available description of the suspect, but it was reported that the assailant departed the scene in a dark four-door sedan, heading north on Denker Avenue.
